Blue Print Cleanse – Day 2

Day 2 of the BPC:

I woke up feeling lightheaded but the first green drink nourished my body and I started to feel better.  Again, as I’m not a breakfast person, I was ok for the morning. Lunchtime was also ok.  In fact, my hunger pangs have altogether disappeared. The idea is that when you juice cleanse, you allow your digestive system to go to sleep and allow your body to focus on cleaning and repairing.  (I mean if you think about it, our body is constantly digesting food – breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks)  So long as you don’t cheat on a cleanse, your stomach should not be feeling hunger pangs after day 1.  Cravings…that is a whole different story.

Today the cravings were a little worse – mainly cuz I was bored and missed the flavors and textures of solid food. Drinking your nutrients gets real old, real quick.  One thing you should be doing is “expelling” number 2 at least once a day.  I don’t want to be gross here but it needs to be said as it’s important in a cleanse: if you aren’t going to the bathroom then the toxins are staying in your body.  Since you are only drinking your nutrients this can be difficult so BPC recommends warm water with fresh lemon squeezed in.  I also like to go to the gym to get my blood pumping and release as many toxins as I can in the process.

With that said, my energy level on day 2 was up and I was able to make it to the gym.  I did 45 minutes of cardio and felt great. This was interesting: I had a dull headache in the latter part of the afternoon (symptom of detox: as toxins enter your bloodstream, headache can ensue) but after I ran for 45 minutes, the headache was gone. I attribute that to the toxins leaving rapidly via sweat.

Came home refreshed and prepared dinner for Cookie Monster and managed not to eat his raviolis.  Drank my cashew milk juice (bottle 6) and went to bed.

I fell asleep quickly again and like the night before, I woke up frequently but slept hard.
